Economic Crisis Resources: Video Resources

 

There have been several quality programs put together about the crisis. Two have been included in this guide. The First, "End of Wall Street" in three parts, Part one, What Happened, part two: Why it Happened, and part three: What Happens Next. The combined running time for the three parts totals roughly 25 minutes. The documentary was originally published at The Wall Street Journal Online in January of 2009.

Part One

End of Wall Street: What Happens Next 1/5/2009. Chapter Three: This final chapter of the crisis on Wall Street tells the story of the $700-billion bailout, as seen through a reporter's eyes, and looks at what's ahead for the global economy.

The other documentary that is presented here is from the program, "Frontline" which airs on PBS. The episode's title is Inside the Meltdown and it was originally aired in February, 2009.

This documentary walks through the crisis from its origins to February of 2009. It includes interviews with Sheila Bair, Adam Davidson, Chris Dodd, Martin Feldstein,Barney Frank, Mark Gertler, Alan Ace Greenberg, and Paul Krugman.
