The J. D. Williams Library currently offers access to two streaming audio databases - Naxos Music Library and the Database of Recorded Sound Collections.
Naxos Music Library is a database of over 305,000 musical audio files. It operates as a streaming server, allowing students, faculty, staff, and patrons of the library to listen to music through their computers. While the majority of the audio in Naxos is classical, there are also sizable offerings in jazz, world music, folk, and even some pop and rock music.
Naxos Music Library Jazz is one of the most comprehensive collections of jazz music available online. It offers close to 22,600 tracks of jazz from over 2,300 albums.
DRAM is a database of over 9,800 musical audio files of American music. DRAM's focus is mostly on American Classical music, though it does contain some examples of Native North American music, jazz, and selections from musical theatre.
